The sharps container is a good size. It sits on my dresser where I take my blood glucose measurements, stable, not sliding around. I am able to easily dispose of anything that touches blood through the amply-sized opening, which is designed to keep everything down below the surface so as to minimize the risk of recontacting anything with exposed skin. When full the cover slides closed and locks, containing all pointy and contaminated items safely within. Local regulations allow disposal of small, clearly-marked sharps-safe containers in household trash, and the sealed bin facilitates this very well.
