Beautiful sky lanterns, Very easy to light, takes only seconds before it's airborne. It is still lit when it goes out of sight. My family used them during the candlelight service at the cemetery in memory of our parents. It was a touching finish to a lovely evening. Take note of and follow the warning written on the plastic covering to not use them during strong wind.

I purchased these for fun to set off with friends. The package of 10 lanterns arrived relatively unscathed, each lantern individually wrapped in plastic. The package was easy to open and each lantern easily unfolded. The square portion that serves as a wick was lit very simply with a long handled lighter. We set these off over a frozen mountain lake in 20 degree, clear weather with the wind carrying away from any homes. The heat builds much like a hot air balloon. Once lit, we held these on dry ground to let the heat build and could see the lantern expand. With the colder weather, it took a minute or two for the heat to build in the lantern. Everyone absolutely enjoyed these!

I use lanterns for a summer party every years. These are the best so far:
- good quality: paper is not the cheapy fragile kind that shreds before we get to use it. everyone was able to write on it without tearing.
- burner at the bottom is good, some others are difficult to light
- they fly well, no problems with it not taking off or somehow wobbling into a tree (due to cheap paper = holes, tears)

I plan to buy these again. Hopefully they will still be the same great quality.

This is a great 10 pack of Biodegradable and Fully Assembled Chinese Sky Lanterns! I never had the opportunity to launch a Chinese lantern and I always see them on T.V. so this was a great experience for me. I'm also very compassionate when it comes to the Earth so I like that these lanterns are eco-friendly and 100% biodegradable. After I removed the lantern from the plastic wrap I placed it on the table so my son and I could draw things on the paper with a marker. This was a great activity to do with my son and it gave us some much needed quality time together. My son really enjoyed the entire process and he was happy to be able to take part in it. After we were finished decorating the lantern we headed outside. We live on 11 acres of land that is on the outskirts of town so we were able to launch them right in our own backyard. I found the best open space for us to launch the lantern making sure it was away from all of the trees and electric wires. I removed the protective sheet from the fuel box and very carefully unfolded the entire lantern. Then, I had my son hold the top as I lit the fuel box. Because these lanterns are about 30 inches tall my son had to stand on a stool to hold it properly. After I got the fuel box lit we held the lantern up for about a minute so it would properly inflate with hot air. Then, we made our own wishes as the lantern started to take off into the air above. The lantern floated up into the sky very gracefully and it was beautiful! It lit up the night sky with our own personal wishes and drawings as it eventually set off into the distance. I am very happy with this purchase and will definitely purchase more! Highly recommended!

My family absolutely loves these. The first one did take a while to light up but I think it's probably because it was out of the bag and my son had been bothering it and it was all so windy outside, but we did another one and it worked perfectly I cannot wait to do this again on the 22nd for my brother. The kids loved watching it float all the way up and then eventually it looks like a star it was very beautiful. I will definitely be buying this again in the summer.
