A great product to enhance cookies and muffins
JP Georgia•March 25, 2018
The cost of psyllium husk wafers is high. I use psyllium husk powder to enhance some of my baking. My cookies and muffins taste much better and are easier to chew than those brick-hard wafers.
Excellent for smoothies. Keeps you regular!

What a great product for smoothies. Really keeps things moving through your body nicely. We're vegan, so we have no trouble in that area anyway, but when my friends drink my smoothies, they always give great feedback the next day. This does make the smoothie a little thicker, but we like that. It doesn't change the taste of the smoothie.
Great "binder" for bread like foods and great fiber
Gary G. Wayne•March 8, 2018
I eat low carb and needed something to help in my "bread" type foods as a binder to replace gluten. This has worked quite well for that. It takes a little getting used to in the cooking / process of making bread like foods. You need to let it set for a few minutes so it can "gel." Once this process is finished I just cook / bake per usual. It has given me back the more break like texture that I was missing from bread products.
I have needed to do a little experimentation as to how much fluid and Psyllium Husk Powder ratio I need per recipe, but that has not been difficult at all.
It is also great for adding fiber to your diet.

It's the exact same thing as more expensive jars in health departments.

It's the exact same thing as more expensive jars in health departments. If you have not heard of Psyllium husks, let me tell you about it. My mom suggested we stir it in our oatmeal and other foods that blend without any notice of it being in our food, so I have been very familiar with Psyllium for about 60 years. This is the finest fiber there is. It gets into the deepest recesses of the intestines. It soaks in toxins and then these larger particles are washed away with normal body function. It keeps the foods that are not digested moving along. That means that fatty foods and other stuff that your body is finished digesting, and so gets ready to store as fat or toxins DON"T HAVE LONG TO STAY.
Well, hope this helps!

Tastes great.. more filling!

I heard this helped solidify AND soften BMs. I think it does ..if used sparingly. I also cook with it. Turns out it is also a great tasting egg replacer (compared to other gel forming thickeners)
