It sort of works. My pasta, when cooked according to the package instructions, didn't cook all the way through, and was overcooked on the outside. I tried cooking it for longer, but it didn't turn out well. Disappointing.

I love this. I use it at my office so I don't have to go out for lunch all the time and I don't need to meal prep at home. I keep a supply of pasta at the office and if I can't think of something to eat, I make a bowl (or two). Great product.

I live in a very small studio apartment and live a general minimalist lifestyle, so this product is perfect for me. There is very little cleanup and it works well with no water spillage in the microwave. I would say it cooks the noodles as well as can be expected in a microwave which is more than adequate for the time you save cooking and cleaning up. I'd say at such a low price ($10.00) it is definitely worth it.

When it has came down to cooking pasta, it can be shown more as a fragile and delicate art that might work on the stove top, or in the traditional oven. But in the microwave, it is more of a challenge, considering the pasta cannot come out so easily to your liking. It can be under-cooked or overcooked with the wrong temperature or wrong amount of water to firmly cook the pasta. While I can easily cook pasta, is is better that you make it fluffy and full enough so you do not lose any of the taste. I have seen rapid pasta cookers for the microwaves, and they do not deliver enough on the promise. This Rapid Pasta Cooker can cook pasta, but not as strongly as you do in the oven. While it can work very well with flat pastas like linguini and spagetti, it honestly does not work as well when you are cooking more creative pastas like medium shells or ziti. Overall, it works well, but there are those that may have wanted much more for the money overall. I do like the Rapid Pasta Cooker, but honestly if you want it for bigger servings or creative pastas like rotini and tortalinni, you are better off going to somewhere else for your al dente pasta.
