Got this for Christmas last year for my husband. He always wears a robe when he takes our dogs out in the mornings to play before he has to go to work. We've been together since 2006, and in all that time he's never had a high-quality robe. Always "cheap and cheerful" because it's "just a robe". It's a high quality robe, but it is definitely on the thinner and lighter side. If you want something super warm and cozy for winter mornings, maybe buy 2 and layer.

Husband had a Pendleton robe for 20 plus years and it had wear holes in elbows but he still loved it. I thought it was time he had a new one so I bought this one to surprise him. He loves his new robe! It fits well and is very warm, soft and comfortable. It's expensive but it will last for many many years. And this one is washable. The old one had to be dry cleaned.
