bought this worried that getting a good fit would require too much modifying. It fit fine and I think its better than others I've used since there is much more velcro to attach along the top back. This allows you to partially connect/overlap the velcro in spots to get the proper fit, compared to cutting out the arm holes like many other vests need.

My 6 year old red-nose pit weighs ~53# and medium fits her very well, although if I overlap the velcro patches exactly it's quite snug, but fits very well, apart from creating a couple folds where her neck meets vest. She likes to roll on her back and grind against the ground, so after having two small lesions on her back removed I bought this to protect the stitches for when she inevitably dives into a roll. I slip a standard harness over the vest because the handle on the vest may be held to hold a dog already stopped, but I would never attach a leash to it. It also has a nice little neoprene patch on the belly that runs the length of the vest and protects the dogs ribcage nicely when they lay down, and where my dog has several polyps from years of grinding/resting her lower rib cage on the concrete patio slap she likes to sunbathe on. I would have given it 5 stars but the handle is just a little too flimsy, and because of the issues at the neck, where it would be nice to have a little more clearance, but maybe that's just a pit thing with those neck waddles. Overall, I am very happy with the product, if it were all black and had a legitimate steel harness ring I would buy these by the dozen.

Worth every dollar. Good fit, and our Wire-haired Pointing Griffin pup is comfortable and well-protected during hunting and cold weather. Well-made and durable. I put it in the dryer when it was soaking wet and it dried in 10 minutes. She was completely dry underneath. It's a really fine neoprene vest with strong Velcro and serious stitching. I know I will have to buy a bigger one soon, because she's only 7 months old, and I will definitely get the same brand.

Purchased this vest in Medium for our 45lb Brittany, and it fits him great. Being able to adjust the shoulders was key. I feel like most vests are designed for labs that have wider shoulders, so it was nice to find this one. Wish they made this in the thicker 5mm neoprene.

After receiving this vest I put it on my one-year-old lab. After a two small training times in the field, I went to adjust the front velcro and noticed that the seams around the neck were already coming undone. Not ripped, but unraveling. That was quite disappointing. I'm also disappointed with the quality of the handle on the back of the vest as well. When it's wet it blooms pretty big and hard to have a good grip on the dogs vest. Other than those two things it does seem to keep my dog completely dry underneath which is great for these cold weather training sessions. If it wasn't for the unraveling and the handle I would have definitely given it five stars.
