I needed to extend the SD card slot on my 3D printer to somewhere easier to access. I tried a cheap Chinese extender and it did not work at all (not even an LED indicator). This one was cheaper and it works great. I thought the extension would be too long and cause issues on the SPI bus but I have not had any issues.

Works great for my Monoprice Select Mini. The cable is long enough that I was able to go under the printer and mounted it on the other side, with a 3D printed mount from Thingiverse. The only issue is that I am not sure I can plug anything into the USB port, as i think this now blocks it. Maybe a right angle micro USB?? But that is a design issue with the MPSM, not this cable. As I'm not using the USB port, it's not an issue for me.. I MUCH prefer using SD cards over the uSD, which are just too small for frequent use...

Purchased to extend the SD card connection of a Raspberry Pi 3 so I don't have to open the custom enclosure I made for it. Works fine and allows me to not have to remove the 14 screws holding the back on my enclosure.

I bought this for my new 3D printer and I only got to use this extension cable 3 times before it broke. The pin or whatever it is that hold the SD card in place after you hear the "click" broke. It no longer hold the SD card in. This product seems it was made with very cheap components. I will return and look for another brand.

I got this to use with my Monoprice Mp Select Mini 3D Printer to make it easier to use the microSD card slot and it works well.
No issues with it at all reading cards, it reads the cards and works with the printer.
I did notice that it doesn't like to lock in place like a microSD card would in the slot, but I just put a drop of super glue on it and it stays in place and still works just fine.
It works with my printer so I'm sure it will work in most any other situation as well where something like this is needed.
