High Quality And Good Price
I engineer electronic and electrical devices. Mostly robotics to make a living. From this skill vantage point I am impressed with these and like aspects of the construction. They appear to be made with G10 material which is a high quality epoxy glass fiber PC board material. Many cheep devices use lower quality board material so this factor of the G10 material immediately caught my attention and appreciation. Two boards to be specificity for the light and are machined well. One is the top of the light and the other the side. The components are all surface mount and the design of the LEDs suggest a quality sourced choice. This is also the case with the surface mount resistors. The assembly of the devices is a sturdy design. Nothing seems to have been spared to provide quality and brightness. I am using these in control panels I design and make. I have ordered them a number of times and they are providing an ideal solution for my demanding applications.

I ordered these lights just as a replacement for the first aftermarket set of LED lights that I had in my interior. I have a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L Sedan. I have 5% window tint, and at night you can see straight into my car if these lights are on! There are many tutorials on these lights as well as any other interior lights that show people using tweakers/small flathead screwdrivers to pop off the covers. As this is more than enough, I could see this leading to a cracked cover or accidental slippage and damages to the light fixture. So one thing that I did to help me with the installation (NOT NEEDED) is buying a small set of plastic pry tools for this project as well as any other projects in the future.

Overall, these lights are super bright, as for the longevity I am unable to comment on that. But as for the couple of months that I have them, they have been running great!

We are slowly upgrading our '16 Ford Flex's OEM (interior and exterior) lights in favor of JDM's LEDs.
Given their rather diminutive size and appearance, its output is astonishing! At these risk of sounding absurd, these particular LEDs exude a sense luxury, as seen in higher-end automobiles.
Glove box: the LED was installed in under 2 mins. Of course, I failed to take a pre-install picture, but I am blown away by its crisp illumination.
Map light assembly: the LEDs were installed, sans tools, in under 2-mins. I failed to take pre-install picture, of course. But, again, I am blown away by their crisp illumination.
Second row assembly: installation took about 2.5 mins. per assembly. End result is AMAZING (see before and after pics).
Rear cargo assembly (purchased directly from JDM Astar): 42 mm EX SMD 578 Canbus LED (see comparative picture). Had the LEDs installed in under 2 mins. time. It is safe to say that this picture accurately reflects the illumination of the map light assembly.
Exterior Rear Assembly Marker Lights: Both marker LEDs were installed in under 2 mins. per assembly. Big difference in the rear markers, and no error messages noted.
Couldn't be more pleased with these JDM Astar LEDs. The folks at JDM are highly professional, attentive and detail oriented. This is a "great" company, a "great" product and I recommend JDM Astar "Bigly!"

For my '04 Chevy Trailblazer LS all the standard incandescent type 194 std bulbs had burned out in the door overhead entrance/map light assemblies. Each door light assembly takes two bulbs; one side for the entrance that turns on when you open the door, and the other side for a map light that turns off and on via pressing of the light bezel cover. The map light bulb has a metal reflector that the oem incandescent bulb tip goes up against and directs the light to more of a beam.
Installing of the led light in the entrance light socket is straight forward and transparent as it fits in the socket nicely. When illuminated it is brighter and whiter than the oem bulb. This looks and works good so far.
Installing led bulb in the map light section yields a result that probably favors the oem bulb as the metal reflector shroud does not allow the surface- mounted led at end of the pcb to fully penetrate the reflector shroud hole allowing the light to be directed as a beam. Also the light does not fully extinguish when the lamp is turned off- a low level led residual effect is present. Not sure why this is evident for just the map light bulb section of these lamp fixtures of the Trailblazer. If this ends up being a distraction I may end up replacing the map light bulbs only with the oem incandescent lamps instead. Other wise after initial installation these seems to work well and are noticeable brighter than their incandescent bulb counterparts.
