This is a decent case that will protect your Chromebook from scratches and dings, but not necessarily protect from drops...which I know is not what it's made for. Knocked off 1-star since I feel that the case is not securely "snapped on" to the Chromebook and that a solid (but not strong) hit would dislodge the cover from the Chromebook.
Also I purchased in April 2019..after they made some modifications to the design. I am able to open the Chromebook almost all the way to use it in tablet form...perhaps a 2-cm gap when trying to open all the way. However this does not bother me since I rarely use the Chromebook as a tablet.

Fits well, looks good, but you need to remove one when you flip the Chromebook flat for tablet use. Minor quibble. Keep in mind this will keep the cover and bottom of Chromebook clean, but is not good for drop protection.
