What a time saver! Before getting this I did it with the old trusty shovel to raise the heads, cram a rock under it and put the grass back around it (which yellows). 30 minutes wasn't horrible but I have 15 more to raise so I wanted an easier solution.
With this tool I can use a cutoff riser (50 cents) and raise them in 5 minutes max, without excavating or otherwise overly intrusive procedure.

Works great and is easy to use. I can change a sprinkler unit out in about 5 minutes. Only problem I have found is if you are trying to raise your sprinkler head and it is down quite a bit you can not get a hold of the top to remove the insides of the sprinkler head. I still have to remove some grass and dirt to get to that part. You have to remove the inside parts to use this tool. So it still is better than having to dig all the way down to the bottom.

Works exactly as described, just be careful not to use too much pressure when attaching to your sprinkler heads or you will have a hard time getting them off. Great price compared to similar tools that accomplish the same task which are sold for much more!

Basically works as advertised on any sprinkler that is still vertical. There will always be a few that you have to dig out.
