Works for my purpose. I make simple syrup in mine. Nsf rated for food service. Cheaper than shaved ice supply places. Just have to figure out your measurements because this one is not graduated.

I let distilled water sit in this trash can for 24 hours and tested the TDS (total dissolved solids) with a TDS meter. The water started at 0ppm TDS and ended at 0ppm TDS. I intend to use this can for preparing water for my aquariums, so it was nice to confirm I wasn't going to get a bunch of random junk in my water (as has happened with other products I've tried). Very happy with my purchase!
