I thought I was buying a small refrigerator. (update)

This is a terrific beverage storage device if you don't care about beverage temperatures.
Regardless of where the dial is set, this device randomly alternates between from frozen to 52 degrees F. I don't mean it's somewhere between the two, I mean it is one or the other, and manipulating the temperature dial does not offer control over which of the two temperatures will be encountered when I open the door.
Thing is, I could have purchased a light and maneuverable shelving unit for considerably less money if I wanted to store beverages at room temperature. I thought I was buying a small refrigerator.
Update: Danby did send a new fridge after I jumped through hoops that did not, fortunately, include having to ship the faulty fridge back. And I got lucky that a scavenger picked up the faulty unit when we removed the door and put it to the curb--thus saving us the $35 fee to recycle the refrigerant and dispose of the appliance. (It was gone hours before the garbage haulers came, so we contaminated no landfills.)
I'm reserving judgement on product quality, since we're still in the window during which the first fridge failed. But for now, at least (one month in), we have cold drinks.

Nice beer fridge

Nice large fridge. We got this fridge to put the beer in, and free up room in the kitchen fridge. When I got thos, I willed it with beer, and put it on the coldest setting and have had no problems whatsoever. The fridge has a nice, bright led light which is very functional. I've included some pics, as the pictures from other reviewers are what helped me decide on this fridge. I can fit about 46 beers in the main compartment and 15 beers on the door

I cut off the plastic straps to unbox the Fridge and noticed the bottom of the box had already been cut open, so I just had to lift the box up off the Fridge. Then I noticed some of the Styrofoam protective sheets were missing from one side that would helped protect the fridge during shipping. Although those Styrofoam panels were kind of thin IMO. then started removing the protective shelf Styrofoam and noticed a few scuff marks inside where it was painted. O.K. I thought poor workmanship when it was being assembled ? Then my Wife walked in and noticed a few small dents on the sides and a huge dent on the back corner panel. Something hit that area hard as it caused the metal panel to fold. To me I would say this unit wasn't a New item but was damaged, opened and returned. I'm sending it back for a replacement and will check to see if it comes in a unopened, uncut box. The unit I ordered was described a New Item, so I will update this review when I get my replacement in about a week.
***Update*** I received my replacement and it was a new item and packaged in a additional box with Styrofoam panels with the original box inside. This provided extra padding but I would like to see thicker panels of Styrofoam to help prevent any shipping damage. Its only been 5 days but so far No issues.

Terrific Small Fridge

This fridge is perfect as an adjunct to our full-sized fridge. We use it for beverages, including wine, sodas, beer, and juice. It got cold as soon as I plugged it in and set the thermostat. It is well lit, very roomy, with more than enough room. And it's very attractive and fits nicely in the kitchen. It is slightly under counter height, but fits it well. I got it in red and it is super cute, matching my small red appliances (Kitchenaid mixer, toaster, electric teapot). If you're looking for a small fridge, I recommend this one.
Looks great but unable to maintain steady temperature

Bought this 4.4 cu ft fridge to dry age some nice ribeye but the fridge is not performing as well as I would have liked. The outside and inside design of the fridge is great and practical and overall good. Shipped in proper packaging to me to prevent damage, happy with the packaging. When the fridge has the meat products in it, the temperature is oscillating in a 6 hours rhythm where it dips down to 24F and then rise back up to 40F, using two SenorPush gauge (pics uploaded) and a traditional thermometer to validate. I want to maintain a more steady temperature which my other fridge is able to do (within a 5F range on my other fridge). This fridge is simply fluctuating too much on the temperature to be useful for storing meat products. I do not recommend this product if you need to store anything that's sensitive to freezing or can spoil easily.
