Good Value, Bad Packaging

Like many reviewers, the boxing of this locker is terrible. I ordered two and both were dented and cosmetically damaged on arrival. It's not a big issue for me, but the seller needs to sort this out.
The locker itself is pretty sturdy and if anchored to a wall and placed in a locked room can provide decent security storage. The door edge of the locker and folded in and about an inch thick which definitely would make it harder to pry open. There is a three point locking system and the locking bar is folded for extra strength against prying.
The reality is, any safe or locker can be penetrated with proper tools, knowledge and dedication. Something like this prevents casual theft or unwanted tampering with your firearms. For that, and the price, I would rate it 5 stars, deducted one for the quality of packaging which appears to be a consistent complaint from customers.

Arrived very damaged

I was prepared for the unit to arrive with some damage but it arrived much worse. Two corners damaged, a piece inside bent, and both hinge pins broken. The styrofoam corner protectors were all broken as seen in the picture. The box is beyond using again because it apparently dropped and or squashed enough to make it as flimsy as paper.
I'm not gonna bother returning it because it would cost me a box and packing materials, then the hassle to get it to a shipping point and I would probably have to pay shipping as well. Then if I did get another one no telling what shape it would be in. I will just make a good set of hinges, straighten out the metal and touch up the paint.
I tried to load pictures but after waiting for 45 minutes with no progress I removed them.

What do you want for $389 delivered? It's a metal box you can screw into a stud that has a good lock

I've seen a lot of people out there bashing these safes or gun cabinets or locking metal boxes or whatever you want to call them. Go buy a super heavy Liberty safe from your local store and pay for delivery if you want something like that.
For the money this safe is awesome. It came with free delivery and I don't have a truck so that was really important to me. Okay yeah it's got like three dings on it but that's okay I have a sharpie I can color it in, I have a hammer and a piece of cardboard I can bang out the dents.
Better than anything I could find local for the price.

Security Cabinet

This is not a gun safe. It is not fire-resistant. Its purpose is to secure your dangerous articles from little hands. This will not offer much protection to someone with a drill or sledgehammer.
That said. This is a light, securable to floor or wall, functional security cabinet that will secure your guns away from household members not ready to handle the contents. You can easily drill a hole to add lights, dehumidifier, et al. Comes with one shelf and some foam padding to rest your guns.
Box said my cabinet was made in Mexico. It was delivered complete and locked. The first thing to check on delivery is that it has the keys that come in a little plastic bag. Because it is delivered complete, it is big and bulky and susceptible to dings during shipment. Light enough for one person to handle and install. Very little assembly required (shelf placement and bolting cabinet to floor/wall).

Good for the money, but some big drawbacks to consider

This is good as a cheap alternative to a gun safe just to keep guns out of curious hands. Overall I'm happy with the purchase: it comes with hardware to secure to a wall and the locking mechanism is actually pretty good, securing the door on all 3 sides. Despite my comments below about the "flimsy" metal, I'm comfortable with the security it provides. It would still take some serious effort to break in.
Some things you should know:
* the sheet metal is flimsy compared to a "safe". I wouldn't trust the shelf to hold up more weight than a few handguns or accessories. I definitely wouldn't fill the space with ammo.
* the barrel rests (if you install them where the manual says) are too high for many very common rifles: most AR's, 10/22s, etc. wouldn't reach the foam. I checked a few of my guns and decided to install the rests several inches lower.
* the shelf also doesn't leave enough vertical space for many hunting rifles or shotguns. My 870 express and my 700 both have to be at the sides in front of the shelf. I probably don't have any more room for other guns that long.
* If you have scopes and pistol grips, go ahead and divide the capacity by 4.
