Their precision cut machine must mean "we found a random two year old off the street and got them to cut this."

These things are not precision cut. After applying the top half of the skin I immediately noticed that the skin did not reach edge-to-edge, which worried me right from the get-go. I then took a closer look at the"precision cut" areas from the camera and noticed that there was a good little chunk missing (see picture). I figured that it will work itself out once I apply at the bottom half sticker but I was dead wrong. The cutout for the Microsoft logo is also off which solidified that this was a bad product. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is that there were practically no bubbles to fix after I finished the installation. I mainly went with this product for two main reasons, one was price and the other was speed of delivery (I'd planned to get a carbon fiber skin from SkinIt, but I was feeling impatient and couldn't wait the week or two that it normally takes for them to ship it. One extra thing I should mention is that the the instructions are very inadequate and the YouTube video that is linked in them is very vague and also has no sound.

I wasn't expecting much from this product. I had tried sticker skins for my MacBook and they were awful. The cut outs for the USB/MiniHDMI/Power Plug are ALIGNED RIGHT! Additionally, it is not hard to pull it up and reapply if you are off a little bit. The only tricky parts are the corners, you might have to mess around with them a little bit, but its not tedious.
If you don't like/want a case (I heard some of them could break screens while taking them off) and just want to keep your Surface from getting scratched I would recommend this.

New Surface Pro 2017 Works Nice

The material is pretty sturdy and should protect my Surface Pro against day to day use scratches. I ordered Surface Pro 4 product protection for my new Surface Pro thinking it would be close enough to fit and it does OK. It seems to work and look just fine but you be the judge by the pictures. The only issue I found for fitting the new Surface Pro is the rounded corners but it isn't bad and certainly protects the Surface adequately but the look isn't 100% perfect there. Even though the fit wasn't perfect on the Surface Pro I am still very pleased because I didn't want to wait for the production version and risk messing up my computer. It was easy enough to re-position the material when I put it on slightly crooked. The adhesive is such that you can carefully pull it back to reposition or remove small air bubbles to have it just the way you like it. I personally like using the old style pen loop holder so I reused it over the top of the Herngee and it adheres well.

Extremely easy to apply to your Surface, fit nearly perfectly (had to cut edges near the type cover but that's no problem) and looks and feels very high quality. For the value I recommend it... decals in general are a pain to apply but I was able to adjust sections of this one multiple times before reaching the perfect fit without diminishing its adhesion.

It came decently packaged and installation was straight forward. The total installation time (including trimming the edges with an X-Acto knife) took about 15 minutes.
Which brings me to the next thing I wanted to talk about. The edge on one of the the skinny pieces that go around the border of the Surface (~1/4 inch) did not fit perfectly at the corner (as shown in picture 2 - right corner); this was not a big deal for me personally as I had my X-Acto knife handy (and was expecting something like this at the skin's price point). I spent about 5 minutes trimming the edge and it looked much better afterwards. I should note the other 2 pieces fit pretty well.
