Have them around the house, so this is a great natural alternative to clearing clogged shower drains. I couldn't take the drain cover off but this little gadget still fit. I got the entire clog on the first try. This is great for someone like me who has extremely thick long hair. I am so happy now I can take a shower without having to also take a bath lol

I consider myself a decent housewive. I cook, clean, keep the kids alive, things like that. I also like to brush my long, plentiful, thick hair. In the bathroom. Over the sink....... and then wash away fallen hair with water. Gross, I know.

Recently our bathroom sink had started to fill up anytime we ran the tap for longer than 4 seconds. There's only so many times you can watch that happen before self guilt settles in and you realize you have to do something about it.

I saw some great reviews on these snakes and decided to give it a try. I followed some tips from people who had tried these already like bending them the other way so they won't be rolled, not completely snaking them in at first and take out little by little, and if it gets stuck BE PATIENT and just wiggle it around.

I was N-O-T prepared for what was about to happen once I inserted one of these into my drain. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was horrible, it was smelly, and I'm pretty sure it was a wig's worth of hair. (how I'm not bald is beyond me...) I'm never letting this happen again. Regular cleanings will now be on my to do list. These work and they work so well that I recommend them to everyone that thinks hair just goes flawlessly through the drain to never be heard of again. Because it doesn't. It stays there. Piling up and becoming the stuff from your nightmares.

Seriously, this was so satisfying and gross. For months my tub had been clogged up. At first, it wasn't bad, just a couple inches in the bottom of the tub, but when it got to the point that the water rose to mid-calf and didn't drain for 30 min. I knew I had to do something.

I live in an apartment so I could have just asked maintenance to come, but I also knew that the clog was probably going to be disgusting and I didn't want to have them come see my shame.

For reference I have one of those tubs with the plunge drain thing that refuses to come out, so I had to work around the open plunge thing.

I tried to use a straightened out metal coat hanger, and while I got stuff out it still didn't drain! As soon as I got these in the mail I went to the bathroom, stuck it in there, and pulled. It was like deep sea fishing. I struggled to get it out, not because I'm weak, but because what was attached at the end was a ball of hair/conditioner/gunk/boogers(probably) the size of a rat. It was weirdly satisfying, like watching those pimple videos on youtube.

Anyway, even after the trauma to the snake I used, it can still be used again! And I have three more!

I am so excited about this product, I had to write my first Amazon review. I recently moved into a house and I noticed that Liquid Plumber wasn't doing the job on my drains. I bought this on a whim and I was shocked how well it worked. It doesn't come with directions, so I flushed some hot water down the drain first. Then I wiggled it down the drain and circled it around the best I could since the top part of my drain wouldn't come off. I kept going until all the hair and grime came out. I even got out a plastic razor cover that was stuck in the drain. I used one to clean all my bathroom sinks and showers then threw it away. I have two to use later. For $6.50 how can you not give it a try!
