Better made than Hershel

I bought this bag to replace the Hershel one I had that the zipper broke. That bag lived a long life and I loved it. When the zipper broke I was bummed and did not have the extra $$$ to fork out for a new one. I bought this thinking it would make do. The color blue and color of the leather is identical to the Hershel. However, where the Hershel bag had plastic in various places, this uses metal. Example - where the handles attach to the bag, where the strap attaches. Much stronger build. The vegan leather feel higher quality than the PU leather on my old bag too. Oh right - it has a way stronger zipper.

I almost went with a Hershel duffle but didn't want to spend $60-80 on it. I figured $44 was fair enough. I stuffed this thing. I went away for a week long trip in WA. Between that and my day pack I had everything I needed. Enough summer clothes for a week, a fleece, 3 pairs of shoes and misc items that took up space. It was maxed out but it held up really well. I appreciate the metal clips vs the plastic ones. The net pocket was cool and the interior zipper pocket was useful.
All in all, a great bag. I gave it 4/5 because But it's still new so we'll see how it holds up over time. It'd be cool if they started expanding their color pallet and maybe use some polyester handles. Oh and the duffle lining would look cool with some more colors/patterns. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

I haven't had much time to really try this bag out, but I looked it over for about 10 minutes before I wrote this review. It appears to be really well made and looks pretty good. The separated shoe box section is a really nice feature and there is an internal pocket at the end as well as a center pocket that offers some nice separation. It might have been nice to have one pocket on the outside for keys etc, but the set up will definitely work. It is actually deeper than I expected which allows you to fit a lot into it without getting long and cumbersome. The quick detachable shoulder strap is a great feature to more easily get it out of the way. I would recommend this to someone who is going away for a long weekend as it is a bit big for a single night.
