When I decided to purchase one of these lights, I spent hours combing through reviews on amazon trying to figure out which ones came with what and had what features - it wasn't easy since most of the product descriptions were pretty unhelpful. So I wrote this review to summarize exactly what this has, does, and how it differs from others available on Amazon as far as I can tell from their reviews.

First off, I want to say that I did not get this free for my review - I bought it with my own money as a Christmas gift for my nephew....and then, once I saw how cool it was, I bought it again to have one for my own family. My nephew wanted a disco-ball light and there were several similar ones on Amazon....I spent a few hours going through the reviews and trying to decide. This one is USB-powered which I didn't really need - I actually wanted one that plugs into a regular wall outlet. But it seemed like the ones that plugged into the wall did not actually shut all the way off with the remote -- the reviews said that they lights would shut off but the motor that rotated the ball would keep going unless you completely unplugged it. I thought that would be inconvenient, so I purchased this one because one of the reviews said it did shut all the way down with the remote.

So yes, I can confirm that the remote does in fact shut this thing all the way off - no lights and no rotation. The off power button really means off. This light comes with two remotes, a bracket, a suction cup holder thing, and a very long USB cord, but it does not come with a power block (the part that plugs into the wall) - I ended up just using one we had around the house for ours and buying a new one for my nephew. I have not tried the suction cup mount because we use it in the house....I'd imagine it would be very cool but kind of dangerously distracting to use in the car. The light doesn't have a white strobe like some of the others but the red, green, and blue led's are very bright if you look directly at them -- this is better if you can put it out of your line of vision so you don't see the super bright light itself, just the cool patterns it casts on the wall. It would be nicer if the buttons to change the settings on the remote were labeled more helpfully (one of the other lights on here labels them as R, G, B, RB, etc. for the colors) but really, we just ended up clicking buttons til we found the color we liked since we were in a dark room and it was hard to read the remote anyhow.

I haven't owned this a long time so I can't say how it will hold up, but I am impressed by how much light this throws off for its size. We mounted ours up on the ceiling of our finished basement and it pretty much lights the room like a dance club. Overall, I recommend it!

This little thing is a great party starter in the car. Easily spreads disco light across the whole car. I drive for a ride share service and all my passengers loved it when i turned this on. Definitely worth the money. I especially love the remote setting that lets the lights move to the music beat.

I've been using mine for my car (I'm a lyft driver) and it is AWESOME!! Works perfectly, the remote is extremely handy being a driver, and all my passengers are instantly impressed and have a great time. And if you need to know (like I really did) the cord is about 12 feet or however long they claim. I have it hooked from the back seat, over the seats, into the trunk and there's still many feet of slack in the trunk. Honestly totally worth your money if you're not a professional needing pro lights.

The vendors claim is correct, this is a better USB powered disco light than its competitors. I've purchased both and think this one is far better. Brighter and the flash to music is more in time. I Built this into a portable audio amp with built in disco light thanks to wowtou

I got this because I felt a little lonely so I wanted to have some dance parties in my room. Needless to say this gets the job done well. It's basically an invitation for people to come over when they see the bright leds through the window. The only bad thing about this product is im too poor to buy more than one. I would give this a 6/5 if I could get sent another one for free *cough* for now however the one is pretty sick. It goes with the music and another kinda funny thing I noticed is it can be controlled with my tv remote once I figured out which button does what.
