Keeps my kid in the bed. And we've been using them for over a month. They say put though my kid likes to push them with his feet and occasionally we will find that he's pushed about a third of the bumper over the side of the bed exposing the edge to falling. We just check it before we go to bed and put it back if it's moved. It might have been a loose fitted sheet allowing it to move. But just so you know, it's still a good idea to check on them. We also use a big comforter that piles up on the bottom half of the bed and serves to keep him from falling off the end. I wish this came with the option to buy three. My kid does somersaults in his sleep.

I was searching for a safety rail for my daughter's bed. She is almost 3 years old and fell off the bed twice in a row when I tried to have her sleep in her new bed. I ordered mesh safety rails and had a hard time putting it together as they appeared to be defective (not to mention unsightly). While searching for another solution, I came across the hiccapop bumpers and decided to give it a try. I just love them! This has worked so well, it's like a miracle. The foam bumpers create a cozy inner cradle that my daughter just loves. I waited several weeks before posting this review to make sure she doesn't fall and she hasn't. Sometimes, she likes to put her leg over the bumper or lean her head on the bumper but she still stayed safely in bed. This has helped me transition her from the crib to a twin size bed. I first ordered the single bumper thinking there were 2 bumpers in the box. I don't think the description was completely clear. If you need the 2 bumpers make sure, that's what you are ordering. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with this product!

Extremely pleased with the hiccapop and highly recommend them. I purchased these so my 3 year old nephew could stay at my house. They are perfect for an on the go toddler bed. I saw where many complained of the smell-I took them out of box and let them air for a few weeks and they were fine. No, smell left. It's so easy to wash the covers for them as well. I also, read where they slide on some mattresses-I have a memory foam mattress that has a cloth covering and they stay in place perfectly. They fit so easily under a fitted sheet. They are lightweight & roll up easily for transport. I would buy these again. Great product.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do....keep my toddler from falling out of her bed. Love it and highly recommend it! We bought 2-pack for each of our toddlers that are transitioning to big-girl beds. Each of their beds are against a wall so we needed something to keep them from rolling out on the opposite side. hiccapop takes care of that! Easy to set up and no problem when you have to change the sheets. Slips right under the edge of the fitted sheet. It has little rubberized pieces that keep it from sliding around. We chose hiccapop because we didn't want the finish marred by toddler bed rails on our girls new Pottery Barn Kids beds and we wanted something easier to use---perfect! :)

but the worry-wort in me feels better having this bumper up as a barrier to keep ...

I bought the two-pack because I recently moved my twins into bunk beds. I put one bumper on the bottom bed to keep my son from rolling off the bed (the other side of his bed is against the wall) and I put the other bumper on the top bunk to act as a barrier to keep my other son from accidentally falling off the opening by the ladder in his sleep. I don't think he would ever fall off in his sleep, but the worry-wort in me feels better having this bumper up as a barrier to keep him "in." I've been VERY pleased with this set-up so far. My son who sleeps on the top bunk can easily climb over the bump when he needs to get down the ladder (the bump squishes down very easily). The bumpers also fit really well under their sheets and are very soft (I actually think they like the coziness of having that bump next to them when they sleep).
