bought this for my mom as a birthday gift; she can't be in the sun very much and she's very frilly and girly so the style was important. she absolutely loves it and it really does help protect her from the sun. the fact that it folds up makes it more portable too which is a huge bonus. she's so happy with it and i will definitely be buying another if she somehow manages to break it lol.

This is BEAUTIFUL and functional. I purchased this after getting sunburned at a Renaissance Faire. I wanted something that would blend well with my Renaissance cosplay but still provide excellent protection. This fits the bill perfectly! I know some people complained that it's hard to open. It is a bit tricky the first time (it folds up " backward"). Once you get it open once, though, it opens up easily ever after. I love how compact it is. It makes it easy to carry, especially with the little carrying bag. The only annoyance is that you take up a hand to hold it, but that is true of any umbrella.

I really love this umbrella. Compact enough to carry with me all the time or leave me my car. Stylish enough that people know I am not some weirdo carrying an umbrella during the hot summer months in Georgia. It is very pretty and works great as a sunshade. However, it was smaller than I anticipated and was a little disappointed with the curvature. It is not wide across and curves pretty far down. These two combined make it difficult to hold without feeling like you are in cave. IT seems to be made pretty sturdily and the pattern is gorgeous. I bought it for a gift and my mother is very happy with it.
