I tend to go through large amounts of liquid in ...
Mary J. Alderdice•July 25, 2017
I tend to go through large amounts of liquid in a day, and so I find it rather pointless to pour / mix drinks in 8 or 10 oz servings. I think my current cup is a 32 oz tumbler. This means that mixing drinks usually involved using a straw, which was kind of awkward, and I'm already awkward enough. As an alternative, I sometimes used a tablespoon. This was a problem, because the tablespoons are, of course, not long enough, so I was trying to mix the drink with the tips of my fingers actually in the drink. (If you've been a guest at my house and had a really tall mixed drink here... hi!) Plus, most glasses aren't really meant to have tablespoons (which are quite broad) wiggling around at the bottom of them, and so there isn't all that much stirring going on. If only there were an actual device made for such situations...
Not just for sundaes anymore

These are awesome! When our house burned down, one of the things we missed were long spoons for getting the last of the peanut butter or mayonnaise out of the jar. These spoons do that and with strength; the spoons are heavy-duty stainless steel and feel comfortably strong when you grasp one. Really great when spooning out very cold ice cream, too.
Definitely recommend having a set on hand for kitchen tasks like scraping the bottom of a tall jar for that last bit of peanut butter, jelly, or even cherry pie filling. The very rounded head works really well as a kind of spatula. The spoon I used for ice cream didn't bend a bit and still looks as straight as the rest of the long-handled teaspoons.

Best long-handled teaspoons ever!

These are the nicest, best made iced tea spoons I've ever seen. They're stylish yet functional (the "bowl" in some iced tea spoons are too small to function properly). Happily, these teriffic spoons are very reasonably priced, pretty, and functional - a rare bargain. I'm surprised that America's Test Kitchen or The Splendid Table haven't discovered, reviewed, and added them to their legendary lists of recommended kitchen tools. I highly recommend this product and this seller.
I'd Buy Them Again

The Hiware iced tea spoons are beautiful on top and bottom. I liked the shape of the bowl and the shape and length of the handles because they're great for tall glasses and for getting at the bottom of a tall jar. One of the other reviewers noted the irregular appearance of the sides of the spoons. I noticed these minor seeming imperfections on mine too but I assure you it does not detract in any way during their use. I liked the way they felt in my mouth and fitted in my hand. Since I am not expecting to entertain the Queen any time soon and since the price was reasonable, I think they're terrific for everyday use while their general appearance makes my every day food preps a little pretty occasion. According to - bloomberg.com- Hiware AG's corporate address is in Switzerland a Dutch base company.
Perfect spoons

I love these spoons! I use tall mugs for my coffee and these are perfect for stirring without sticking my fingers into the hot liquid. Plus, the best part is that the spoon itself is just about a perfect teaspoon amount of sugar - which I have to limit, so no more "over sugaring" my coffee by using a soup spoon!! These spoons are made of a heavier material so they don't feel cheaply made. I really love them. Thanks for a great product and wonderful service. They arrived way before I thought they would!!
