The rings are very flexible. It takes a few practices to get it clicked correctly. After a while, it's get easier. I like that the rings don't need a spring to open. It can be opened one ring at a time if that's all I want to do for the adjustment.

These brass looking rings are great looking, and can be used in a way that suits the need. I think that I will only use 2 sets instead of 3 since they hold so securely. When you need to open them, it takes more time than a regular 3 ring binder because you have to open up each ring separately, but they do open and close securely. This has met my need for a custom planner that is odd shaped, and I would recommend them.
