I haven't checked the longevity of these batteries. I suspect they will be close to the OEM battery in that regard. What I CAN tell you is that the OEM battery fits somewhat loosely in the charger. The battery will charge but it's loose. No problem with these batteries fit in the battery bay of the US version of the YI camera, a bit snug but not a problem.

This charger DOES work with the Yi action cam US edition as it claims, unlike the toaster style charger I bought first which claims to be for the us version but is actually for the international version. It charges 2 batteries simultaneously and seems to do so pretty quickly. The Yi cameras are having a promotion where they come with an extra battery, but you can only charge the battery in the camera unless you buy this 3rd party charger.
I'd prefer a toaster style charger but I'll settle for one that actually works regardless of the style.

Works great as advertised . I have the Yi Action cam USA edition 88001 and it works perfect with this charger and batteries . I love that the charger itself is small and can easily fit in your pocket or bag with batteries sitting in the charger. This uses a standard micro usb cable so charging on the go is simple and easy and you can even use a power bank . Charging for me seemed fairly quick ( about an hour or so ) and battery life seems to fit on par with factory Yi battery . I don't generally do very long recordings but the Yi itself will tell you what the battery life is at when you are in the app which is cool . This is a necessary add on for anyone purchasing the Yi Action camera as with any battery powered device , you will want more batteries so you don't miss the action !

I did a test of battery life, using identical methods. My original battery can go 95 minutes. Both batteries went 80 minutes maximum during two runs (connect via wifi, start a video, immediately disconnect wifi but don't turn it off, wait for the camera to die). Note that one battery only managed 20 minutes the first attempt, but it hasn't repeated.
