I got this for my son because his old lunch box always gets crushed in school, resulting in ruined sandwiches and snacks. He specifically asked for this hard shell lunch box. The size is perfect but we wished it had a place to put a name tag like those in luggage used for travel. Hate to ruin the nice yellow finish with permanent markers. Maybe the manufacturer could add one in an improved version?

i do like this pencil case its pretty heavy duty, I have owned it for about 2/3 months or so . because it is pink and made of a fabric material the outside does get durty in my backpack. I use this instead of a purse now. I do field work where I need a backack full of papers, and this does the trick for me. enough room for essentials.
tried to figure out how to clean it, and that did not happen yet no all cleaner worked, I will try fabric cleaner spray next. and update on that !

The only negative we experienced was a delay in shipping but they were good about updating us. It is a really cute box, holds a little more than the cheap plastic pencil boxes and is a neat material that's kind of solid but has a lot of springy give if you push on it so it hopefully won't crack. I wrote his name in black sharpie and that seems to be doing OK so far (only used it a week now so not sure how it will hold up overall over time, but it's a fun splurge!) You could also use this for a lot of storage options for small items, little toys for the car or road trips, etc. It has a nice felt type lining so things won't slide/bang around quite as much.
It's not red, it's PINK!

My son's favorite color is red, so I assumed the pencil box was red (selection was red). When it arrived it was a deep pink instead!
Either than that, the zipper was easy for my 5 year old son to unzip. Good enough for kindergarten school supplies, storage might not be enough for first graders unless you really cram it.
*** I wish amazon would change the color selection to pink instead of red!
Edit: I just posted pictures and I think it's deep pink even without filter. Minuscule color difference for adults, but for some kids who love red might care ;)

This case also fits my 7" Kindle Fire, headphones, and a MacBook Air charger, Kindle charger, and phone charger when I am traveling.
