Bought this for my dad as a gift. His older bracelet (not this one) was falling apart and he needed a new one desperately. He loves It! Likes that it says what his condition is without having to open anything up and look at a card in his wallet. It did come with a wallet card for additional information, but this bracelet says it all without more digging. We will see how it holds up in the long run, but really good quality and engraving.

I'm diabetic, retired and on a fixed income. I can't afford to join Medic Alert. My doctor said I really should wear a medical bracelet because I'm insulin dependent. This bracelet is affordable and it is very comfortable. It never gets caught on anything and most of the time, I don't even remember I have it on, that's how comfortable it is. It also looks great. I have the "Insulin Dependent" on the front and on the back I have my emergency contact information.

Note that the measurement given DOES NOT include the length of the engraving plate. I ordered a 7.7 in piece but the whole piece is almost 9.5in long, as the plate is about 2 1/8 in long. Seems like they forgot to add the size of the plate when stating product length. The plate in this version is a great size, though: 6 lines of 30 characters each (3 each side of the plate). The 6.6 " version is limited to 25 characters. I just ordered the 6.6 piece as replacement. I wonder if it will be too big and whether a jeweler can shorten it... The price is very competitive. This comes from China for about $13 (shipping included). Pieces sold in the US may sell for as much as $45 before shipping

Update: trying to resize it led to loss of product. Several of link tabs broke and the clips could no longer be held in place, rendering the product unusable.

Great Quality, but Uncomfortable if You Have Arm and Wrist Hair

This is a great band, but on my husband (who has a normal size wrist for a 75 year old, 160 pound man), it kept getting entangled in the hair on his arm/wrist area so we ordered something else. However, it is a well-made bracelet and I am sure would be best for someone without the discomfort he experienced when he took it off to shower, etc.

I bought this for my daughter, who fiddles with things she wears. This bracelet is a terrible choice for people who are going to fiddle with it. On the first day, she got three scratches from taking the bracelet on and off.
Also, this bracelet was too large for her. My daughter has a small wrist and wears a lady's glove size small. I suspect it will be a good fit if you have a typical wrist size, whatever that is.
The vendor did a fine job on the engraving; no complaints there.
