I recently purchased this gate with the intention of keeping my 70lb dogs out of the hallway that leads towards the guest bedrooms. I have purchased many gates in the past with similar intentions and they have been replaced constantly due to the way they click together. The latches seem to always become damaged from people swinging it and pushing it back with force. One of the things I really liked about this gate is that it opens with a latch and goes in one direction, making it much harder to break since it doesn't allow you to just force it open. The gate has held up to the test of my furbabies and we have not had any issues. It was a great value for the money and I see this lasting us a long while!

This was super easy to set up and put together. It was very sturdy. However, I wasn't able to use it where I needed it because I read the sizing as "49" with 4" extender." My own fault for reading it wrong. But otherwise it's a great baby gate.

I like this gate. It is solid and I appreciate not having to jump over especially when you urgently have to go to the bathroom. It keeps the dogs out. Even my dog who is a jumper hasnt tried to scale it. However, my cats cannot get through the bars. They have to jump it. So this wont work when they get into their geriatric time. The bars need another 2" of clearence. This is the only reason I knocked one star off.

First, let me start by saying we had a similar baby gate that was great, but installed without drilling holes into our walls. I wish this one was like that. Instead, I now have about six holes in my door frame from installing this. (I had messed up twice.) Other than that, this works great for what we need it for. We're using the gate to block off the playroom from the dog. Our three year old can work the gate, but the dog can't. So, if you're using this to block off a toddler, maybe use something different, since my son can easily open and close it.
