Awesome product! I used to use magnets or double sided tape to hold my collar to the neck of my shirt. You don't need to do that with these. I never had a problem with these in the washer as I hang dry my shirts to avoid shrinkage and fading so I can't comment nor do I worry about any damage a dryer might do to these. I would suggest installing yourself if you can sew or learn to sew because it might be a hassle to find someone to install these perfectly. I tried multiple dry cleaners/alteration places and some of the shirts came back with the stitching not perfectly straight, on top of that, you have to worry about if the thread will match the exact color as the rest of the threading so you better hope the person isn't color blind. I had to take 2 shirts to other shops to get redone because of this. I'm not faulting the product though as I see no other way unless clothing companies starting making their shirts with these installed by default which is unlikely. If you're not a perfectionist like me then no worries. The only reason for 4 Stars is the price. Adding the cost and possible hassle and frustration of getting these installed makes for a solid hit on your wallet and patience. It really comes down to one question: How much do you hate a sagging collar?

This is an awesome product. It is inexpensive and EXTREMELY effective in turning an open shirt with a jacket into a SUPER SHARP look. The product makes a huge difference if you hate those dead collars that slump down into your blazer. Once my Million Dollar Collars were installed, my shirts truly had Million Dollar Collars and looked crisp and sharp. The only reason that I did not give this product 5 stars is because the installation is somewhat inconvenient. It requires the use of a sewing machine, or finding a tailor to do it. It is a simple process, and to be fair, the company is upfront and very helpful in providing networks of tailors that do the installation relatively inexpensively, but it is an extra step. I wound up sending 10 shirts to Air Tailors who did the installation for $10.00 per shirt, Since I purchased the stiffeners on Amazon, however, they did offer to do the installation for about $2 more per shirt if I didn't have them, which was convenient.

Despite all of that, I still highly recommend these.

I wear suits a lot without a tie, and have been looking for a way to keep my shirts looking sharp. I just got my shirts back from the tailor after having these installed... and wow.... impressed is an understatement! I'm mad I haven't had these all along. You easily look like your dress shirts are 200-300 a shirt! Use these with metal shirt stays and magnets and you seriously will be the sharpest dressed person where ever you go. These are worth every penny and then some. Plus my tailor only charges 8 dollars a shirt. No longer to I need to starch the crap out of my collars just to have them fall down. Look like a million dollars for cheap! If you are on the fence about these don't be, you'd be crazy not to!

Look dapper and no longer suffer from floppy collar syndrome, this product solves a problem I didn't know I had. Your collar will frame your face the way it was meant to. It makes a huge difference in the look of the shirt when you are not wearing a tie.

I wish that shirts came with this already sewn in already. its a chore to install but they do work. My only complaint is why they cost so much. Common guys, this is a long piece of thin plastic, no need to price gouge.
