I love the pendant. It's beautiful and sparkly and definitely an eye-catcher and conversation starter. It would make a really wonderful gift for an oboe player or lover.
But the chain it came with is way smaller than I expected. Right now it fits me like a choker, which is far too short for a long, thin pendant like this one. From the pictures I saw, I had expected the oboe to fall a few inches lower than right below my neck.
That said, the pendant itself is really the most important part of this necklace, and it's exactly what I was looking for. Finding a longer chain is not impossible, just unexpected
