Dropper Too Large for Holes

The mess I ended up with is part that the dropper was too large for the holes in my stamp and part user error. I inherited this rubber stamp from the person who previously held my position and was completely unsure of how to re-ink it. I ordered this after watching a YouTube video on how to re-ink self-inking stamps. The dropper part was way too large to insert into the holes on my stamp. The holes overflowed and I had ink everywhere. My hands were stained for days. It did wipe off all the surfaces I got it on with just a wet wipe. After cleaning up my huge mess and letting the stamp sit for several days the ink finally did make it down the holes and re-ink the pad. If I didn't work at a church with a tight budget I'd have just bought a new stamp. Next time I'll just take the tip and cap off the bottle and try refilling with a finer tipped eye dropper.

I know it sounds crazy but stamps work much better when they have adequate ink in the pad. This is a premium water based ink that stamps clean and crisp. The end is equipped with a dropper which can be removed to pour it out .

Just as advertised, but the bottle was completely full, and spilled when I opened it. That could be because I live at 6,000 feet.
