I love the smell of this! I own several bottles of Ylang-Ylang essential oil, and this is hands down my favorite one. It has a wonderful, strong aroma that lingers on my hands and keeps me sniffing my fingers in sheer bliss! I believe that this is truly a superior grade of essential oil, and I am thrilled with my purchase. I will trust Elementa Essential Oils to deliver premium grade oils after trying this Ylang-Ylang essential oil.

Smells wonderful, purity issue?

This was an oil I had been wanting to add to my growing collection and finally decided to order some. It smells wonderful and I am excited to incorporate it into my homemade lotions and body butters. I'm also thinking about diluting it and adding to a rollerball bottle to use as perfume, that's how much I like the smell. But I am concerned about its purity. I did the paper test last night with all of my oils and this one left a bit of oily residue, which typically means that it has been diluted with a carrier oil. It wasn't super oily though so if it has been diluted I don't think by much. Still love the smell though.

The description "THE SENSUAL ROSE AND FLORAL SCENT of ylang ylang is seductive and delicate with subtle undertones of sweet cream" is right on the mark! I love the scent, but just a little goes a long ways. The scent can be overpowering if you try to use too much, and believe me, it's tempting. I actually feel more relaxed and less stressed when it use this with a good carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil. I rub this on my chest and neck so I can smell the scent longer. I haven't used this in a diffuser yet, but I'm sure just a few drops would be more than enough so the room isn't over powered. Mixing this with something like Bergamot Essential Oil tones down the floral scent and is a great combination for relaxation and stress relief.
