Purchased two of these flashlights, one for the house and one for the truck. Loved them so much I got two more for the cabin. Compared them to some good quality tactical flashlights I already had and was very impressed. Just a little larger than regular tactical lights but look and feel like you could drive over them with no damage. Love the zoom feature. Produces great flood light for close range and intense spot light for long range or defensive purposes with whole range in between. The spot light takes a bit to get used to for two reasons. It produces a square light pattern and it has a grid of parallel lines on it. This is produced by a combination of the light element and the zoom feature. It is just weird since we are used to round light patterns from a regular flashlight. You only see this when you are behind the light, in front it would be so intense you would see nothing as you would be temporarily blinded which is one of the purposes of a beam of this intensity. Perfectly functional but takes minute to adjust to. Mine came with AAA battery adapter and 18650 rechargeable battery and charger. 18650 works much better. Has good range also, about 100 yards can easily ID objects.

I purchased a two-pack of these flashlights on Amazon. They are very solid and well made. The beam focuses to a narrow spotlight or widens to a nearly 90 degree flood light. In the entire range it is quite bright, but blindingly bright when narrow. I use it when walking my dog at night and it penetrates the woods and illuminates paths well. There are different battery options when you purchase. The default option takes three AAA batteries. Another option includes a rechargeable 18650 battery and a recharger. The rechargers that I received doesn't look exactly like the one pictured (it has a cord), but they work fine. If you go with the rechargeable option, the insert for three AAA batteries is also included.
