Very good Starter Ukulele

I ordered the Kala Ukulele Starter. Overall the package is excellent. The Ukulele fit and finish is very good. It is a bit challenging to keep tuned, but perhaps this will improve over time as the string stretch. There is a small songbook which is helpful, but the best of all is the app that comes along with the package. It enables you to tune the Ukulele as well as has a lot of songs that you can play and the app has the cords and music that you can play along with and it tells you how well you are doing so that you can track your progress. The disappointing aspect of the kit is the case. The case is made up of a paper cloth type of material. It is flimsy and probably won't last very long. Overall it is an excellent kit and Ukulele for beginners. The sound is clear, with no buzzing. It lacks the depth and richness of the more expensive models. I would suggest getting this Ukulele
so that you can try it and if you don't enjoy playing the Ukulele you will not have lost hundreds of dollars.

Missing String?

I just received the guitar, which is completely alright itself, but when I took it out of the package it was missing a string for some reason. We've searched all around the bag and the box, even the front door to see if it fell out of the box by some chance to no avail. I like the guitar itself enough, Im just disappointed to have encountered this unfortunate event. I would like to note once again this is the cutest guitar seen, and I have yet to contact support.
Side Note: Im not sure if any of the others guitars receive this but it was in the photo; the tag in between the strings is missing which makes me question whether or not this is brand new.

This package is amazing and easy for people of all ages to play. I liked teaching my kiddo so much i bought myself one in the tenor size, that turned out to be a disaster. It looks great, the app is outstanding during the free trial and still has lots of options and training available for free after the free trial is complete! Very hard to resist the 34 bucks for a year worth of the unlocked app, thats about the same cost as one music lesson....100% recommend this to anyone.

Product came on time and is as described. This is no concert ukulele but for a beginner, it's a great little instrument. It's not a cheap crappy toy but a pretty good little instrument"”especially for the price. Would make a great gift. The case is a piece of crap but I ordered a new one for just a few bucks and now all is good. The free app is a pretty good one but don't bother paying for the subscription as you can utube thousands of entries for learning how to play. The app is good for learning the chords and learning how to tune the instrument though so at least give it a try for that. It's free.

I've always wanted to play either guitar or uke or some related instrument...funny story....I'm actually a cellist and pianist. I decided to take the plunge and try this one out! Based on the reviews this little Uke didn't disappoint as others have stated. I will make one comment about the strings and tuning. Several people have said that their Uke doesn't stay in tune and others have responded that the strings take time to stretch. This is true. As a cellist I have the same issue but my instrument is a professional instrument worth thousands. The only thing I will add is that I noticed my chords are sometimes not in tune when I play but have discovered that that is not the instrument's fault but my own. The harder I press the strings down in between the frets the intonation goes sharp. I have found that if I am firm but gentle my chords stay in tune. There is a similar issue with cello even though cello is fretless. Pressure can change intonation. Just a thought for everyone out there reading these reviews! As a starter instrument, this is a nice little Uke.
