Easy to assemble

I've assembled shelves like this before. And they hold a lot of heavy stuff. It's not really too hard to put together. But, yes, it can be a bit wobbly at first, depending on how you start. Yes, be careful or you can slice a finger. It's sheet metal...
My advice, put the bottom and top together first. Set the base against a wall. Assemble the long corner pieces and connect each to the base, then attach the top. Leaning them against a wall makes it easy to do by yourself.
The shelves are better than average press board and simple to slip into the frame.
Like most projects, I recommend that you don't tighten everything completely until you're done, and don't install the little black caps on the top until you install the top shelf board. That makes it easier to slip the top board into the frame.
Also, watch out that when you install "tab A" into "slot B" that the tab is actually in the slot. If it's not and you whack it with your rubber mallet, if you don't manage to snap the tab off, you'll have to pry the pieces apart to fix it and insure frame stability. Overall, I like the product.

Make sure you have a mallet for construction-- hammer chips the paint.
Easy to put together (instructions weren't very helpful though, no directions on how to make it a lengthwise shelf as shown in product images). But you will get it.
Triple check the notches arw properly lined up on both ends before securing with thw mallet to save frustration.
Also, the little metal tabs that help it lock in place-- get some pliers and make sure they are flush before trying to install, it will make it easier to line up.
Set up the first frame bars (four sides, four vertical bars) and then put in the bars for the next shelf BEFORE the halfway connection point of the vertical bars, so it is sturdy as you put it together. I tried to put it together as shown in the instructions (vertical sides first) and ended up bending the dickens out of one of the metal tabs.
Overall all this is a good shelf. Mdf shelf boards are about 1/4" though. If you are storing very heavy objects, I would recommend going and getting some wood cut to fit.

So, I feel like I'm nesting with how much I've been tearing apart the house and re-organizing the garage and basement. My hubby is actually scared I'm preggo again haha. Anyways, I decided to start re-doing the garage layout and put up shelves that I can use labeled bins on them for easy reference and also get stuff off the ground so maybe we can possibly use the second half of the garage for another vehicle. They withstood the weight of the odds and ends and bins that I have on it haven't budged the unit or bowed the shelves. Very pleased overall with sturdiness, style, and ease of assembly.

I haven't put anything on the shelves yet, but according to the description, each shelf will hold up to 583 lbs. It doesn't seem like it would, but we will see, although I don't intend to put that much weight on each shelf. It does seem to be sturdy enough, at least for what I intend to use it for. I think the shelves could be a bit thicker though. the corner of one shelf was damaged, but not enough to affect the performance. I simply inverted the shelf to hide the damaged corner. the "rubber" feet, (looks like hard plastic to me) doesn't perform well. Several pieces broke while trying to put them on. They don't seem to fit so well. All in all, I'm giving it five stars.
