Does the job, aluminum wont mar up your bearings or races but be sure to hit it square and if possible with a dead blow hammer. The handle is made from the same SOFT aluminum and will bend and chip when using a standard steel hammer. Overall a good product and I would recommend it. Take care of your tools and they will take care of you.
