Otherwise it won't detect the unit.
also its mount has only like 30 degree turn.
which means, if you touch it by accident it will fall out of the mount.

This is great product!!!! I installed this about 350 miles ago and it absolutely accurate and reliable, it's within 1/100 of the "map my ride" app over a 31 mile course. It's really easy to use while riding and the cadence feature is a wonderful addition. I recommend installing the sensors with just tie wraps until you get the magnets absolutely in line with the sensors. After a few rides go back and install with 2 sided tape and new tie wraps. Due the shape of my spokes, I had a small issue with the wheel magnet. I contacted the company and they swiftly replaced this. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
