My daughter has a birthday coming up and we wanted something fun to add to the dance portion of the sleep over, because what 8 year old girls don't like to dance? I found this discoball and it looked like the all-in-one dance party in a box and thought it was worth a try. Holy Toledo was I blown away when it got here! First off, this thing is HUGE! I was expecting a little bigger than a light bulb kind of size, but this thing is nearly a foot wide! (Okay, maybe 9" or so) Next, I saw the inputs on the front when I ordered it, but it didn't occur to me until we started playing with it that IT HAS SPEAKERS! I figured we would have to hook it up to external speakers for it to work with music, but you just plug in a jump drive (which they graciously provided) and be prepared to turn down the volume! It plays very well and gets quite loud without sounding distorted, which was impressive. Finally, the projection is impressive! The circles and spots stay the same and move in a set pattern but you can control the color if you desire. My only critique would be the quality of the materials. The plastic does feel rather rigid and would very likely crack if dropped, BUT I understand that this serves to not only keep the cost affordable but also to make it lightweight so it can be hung on the wall or ceiling without any trouble or damage. The first night we tried this out, my girls were upset we had to turn it off. My 3 year old even cried. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone with little girls who just want to dance their hearts out. PS. They sleep REALLY WELL after a 15 minute dance out before bed! ;)

Bought for my 11yo granddaughter and loves it. Uses to make her "musically" videos. She was showing me how it worked via skype last week. She programmed to only use certain colors, then all various. The colors are bright & vibrant. Neat that the light show changes to the beat of the music. Surprisingly, the sound quality is fairly good. Must be made with heavy duty plastic, as her cat knocked it off her desk & it didn't break. Easy to figure out how to operate. There probably were instructions but I know she didn't read them. When I ordered I was under the assumption that it was a cheap toy type thing for kids. However, after seeing all that it does, that's not the case. Would be a big hit at any adult party too. She called me earlier today to ask where I'd got it because the little girl that was over wants one too. This would be a good inexpensive gift for all ages.

WOW ...disco balls sure have come a long way since I was a kid!! I ordered this disco ball for my very casual engagement party ...and it was a huge hit! The music ...along w/ the amazing light show got everyone out of their seats & up dancing like kids again!! I believe if I didn't have this FUN disco ball ...my party would have been a flop!!
This disco ball is very pleasing to the eye even when it's not turned on! BUT ...when it's turned on ...the light are mesmerizing! It has 9 LED colors, 4 different modes, USB & SD card slot, a remote ...and it plays music ...in which the lights dance to the beat of the music! AMAZING!! It's extremely lightweight which makes it very portable & another added bonus is you have the option of it just sitting on a surface ...or ...you can hang it on the wall or ceiling! (screws included) I'm so pleased w/ my purchase & can't wait to use it again!!

This LED magic disco ball is a MUST HAVE! IT contains 3 different preset movements for when it detects music. There's a strobe flash option too. The ball comes with a remote and a USB thumb drive with 3 short song clips so you can test the mp3 portion. You can use an SD card as well. You insert the USB stick, if it doesn't play automatically then press power button on top left of remote ( it controls the mp3 on, off) there is a song skip function on remote as well as volume up and down. I must admit, I was really impressed with this feature. The speaker is much better sounding that I imagined it would be. There are motors inside of the unit and they move the lights around the room. The few modes which allows the microphone inside to listen to the beat of the music and will flash and move faster and slower depending on the speed of music. I have a pic with what the remote functions are. I just love to turn this thing on with some dance music and watch my 4 kids dance like they're at a dance at school! The only bad thing I can say is I wish there were more modes. Really worth the money! It's quite impressive really.

I can not get over how cool this disco light ball is! It lights up the room so well and the color dots move all over the room! Not to mention also on the ceiling theres big circle lights that cross each other also! It also comes with a remote where you can control the music that you can play through the disco light! You can use music that you have downloaded through your computer on the usb drive that is provided, and it has a port on the disco ball where you can plug it in! This is very neat! Its high quality and high tech and its great for parties and get togethers! The lights on the walls that it creates goes right along with the music your playing! I blasted my music to it and started dancing! Really lightens up the music and mood! Highly recommend!
