UPDATE REVIEW 5/29/17: I wrote the seller and told them something must be wrong because I had to use new batteries every few days and was not using the light or alarm. The seller kindly sent me a new cane and I have had no problems with the batteries, so assume the first cane just had a little malfunction. Great customer service by the seller! This is by far the best cane I have had, I wish the cane handle was a little slimmer but understand that it holds the batteries.

Wow, very nice can for the price. Prior I had a Hurricane but left it in a market cart so someone else has it now.

I like the fact that the cane has a light and especially an alarm. I walk our neighborhood and like the idea that if I fall I can at least make noise with the alarm.

Update. The vendor refunded my money because the cane didn't work for me. I never even contacted them and asked them to do this. That's really pretty wonderful. The cane is nicely made/packaged and sturdy. It just doesn't work well for a short person like me. Very nice vendor.

The cane came well packaged, was easy to put together. Folds as shown, and has a working flashlight that can tilt. The feet are sturdy and it can stand independently. It can be used easily enough over uneven terrain. I don't like how narrow the hand grip is. It's barely comfortable in my hand, and I have very small hands. If you had larger hands, I think this would cause cramps because it's so small. The flashlight.can tilt down and is good for illuminating stairs, though the light isn't that bright. Be careful buying this if you are short. I think this cane is ideal for folks between 5'5" and 5'10". If you're outside that range, look somewhere else.

Nice cane, but the light is pretty fragile. I dropped the cane once (on a sidewalk) and the flashlight flew apart. The cane all by itself is certainly worth keeping, even without the cool light, but be careful with it if you need that function. I may order another and put duct tape or something around the light housing to protect it.

Similar cane from different vendor broke in under two months but discovered it was plastic through so no real surprise. I really liked the design though as this is almost a duplicate cane except it IS aluminum based and I expect more of it although it is not intended for heavy use. It is light weight and I need it only for balance, not support. Only use will tell about construction so if those problems develop I will be back to update. At this moment very satisfied with purchase.

As with any device there is a learning curve. I weigh 250 lb which should be fine for this cane. It feels inadequate, however, I have played around with it and I do believe it will do the job. Love that it has the light and folds up. It is a good cane for the cost.
