Fun, but

So these were easy to use.. but as someone with milk OCD, they're bouncy, so they get EVERYWHERE. Under the grill, the street, under the car, crevices... *shudders.*. They also do NOT dehydrate as fast as everyone says.
If you are a very chill person, these are for you. If you're like me, save yourself the stress.
Side note: I picked out all of the black and white ones, which looked like fish eggs, yuck. The pike was much prettier after that.

Smaller size than expected

We already have some small water beads and I was looking for a larger size to add some variety to my daughters sensory bin. As pictured these would have been perfect. However 80% of the water beads are much smaller than expected based on the picture.
If you want water beads and don't care about the size, then these are fine. But if you want beads the size as shown in the picture, then these aren't for you.

I have no idea how they make the magic happen, but it's amazing to watch. 24 hours after soaking tiny beads in distilled water, there are these slick gelatinous balls that appear to be mere shadows of color in a jar with water, tangible (good feeling) pretty balls in our hands. Baffling science and sensory pleasure all at once.

Comes with a lot of these in a package which was nice. Used these to make "Stress balls" After they have expanded in the water they become brittle and a lot of them broke inside the balloon that I put them in. I just wish there was a way for them to be more solid and less fragile after they have expanded.

My son (3) LOVES these. My only complaint was that a few actually broke while soaking up water. Next I'm gonna try the big ones :) I was surprised to have all of the kids (ages 11-2) at a birthday party trying to play with them.
