Let me start by saying that this is a crazy expensive candle.
I just have to acknowledge that I know this, and get it out of the way.
I'm almost embarrassed that I spend this much on one dang candle, like I think I'm a Rockefeller or something.ðŸ'„
Despite my embarrassment in purchasing this ridiculously expensive candle, I must say that it is pretty wonderful.
It smells great and doesn't have a bunch of chemicals in it!
We have had zero trouble lighting the wick and keeping it lit as long as we use a lighter.
This candle seems to hate matches?
I should mention that if we do have trouble lighting the candle, we tip it to the side and light it near the bottom of the wick .
There is this... little cardboard piece? attached to the wick that has to catch fire.
If that part doesn't alight, you'll never get this dang thing aflame!

We added this candle to our Subscribe and Save and it lasts until we get our next shipment.
Since it lasts the entire month, I guess the price kind of makes sense but like, I'm not going out and telling my friends about this thing.
They would laugh me out of the room.

Wonderful candle! I found the scent to be fairly subtle, contrary to some other reviews here, but very pleasant nonetheless, The wood wick is an interesting touch - I didn't realize it had one until I actually received the product. I can confirm that it was slightly difficult to light. I solved this problem by lighting the wick, allowing some wax to melt, then rotating the candle so that the melted wax near the wick was distributed more toward the glass wall of the container, giving the wick some room to "breathe." A couple of sessions of this (during which I did have to relight several times) and the candle stayed lit. I have not had to do any maintenance since.

The candle looks great (the black version at least). I'm not really big on labels (sorry, Wax & Wick!) but the sticker came off easily with no residue. The wood wick does make for a nice flame and it does produce an occasional crackle and pop, which is cool.

Overall, I am a happy purchaser - and with the "campfire" noises from the candle, I feel like a happy "camper" (sorry)!

I love coffee-scented candles so I was excited about this purchase. Everything about it seemed perfect, the color (I'm weird because I had to find a candle to match my room LOL), the size, the wood wick, etc. The only thing is that I don't get a very strong scent from the candle. Opening the package, I got a strong whiff of espresso, but lighting the candle doesn't have much scent coming from it. It's kind of a faint scent, which is weird considering how expensive this candle is. If you like weaker scents, though, then this could be perfect for you!!

Its Good

Honestly, I loved this product but was hesitant when I saw a few reviews regarding the candle quality after 70% usage. Just like any woodwork candle you must properly maintain it to exhaust its full product life. Wax and Wick includes these cards in their packages explaining how to properly maintain to get its full useful life. Best candle I have purchased in a while, the scent is great, long lasting, not overbearing, very eco friendly and safe, and a great mood setter.

I am sure others feel the same as I do and thought I would share, I am aware the candle is a little pricey, but the quality speaks for itself. I almost see this as the "Apple" of candles. You pay a little extra, but with proper use the quality is unmatched.
