Don't. Be sure to gather a magnifying glass and a strong light to try to read the fuzzy instruction sheet. When assembled as described in the instruction sheet, the stool rocks like the Queen Mary in a typhoon. What the instruction sheet humorously describes as "self-leveling feet" aren't. The cardboard insert on the bottom of the seat that was mis-stapled to cover the screw holes said "Made in USA." Evidently we are in a race to the bottom with China. We won. I'd send it back, but it isn't worth the trouble to disassemble and repack and pay to ship. I'm trying now to decide whether to spend a couple of hours trying to find a way to level the legs or to just drop it off at Goodwill as is. I'm sorry to have to write this negative review. I also am sorry that I bought this stool, as I consider it totally unsatisfactory.

I am very happy with my purchase. I expected something made in china but was surprised to find the swivel plate and cushion were marked made in USA. No origin listed on the frame but it's sturdy and works great at my workshop bench.
