This is a pretty and functional set of needles and accessories... as a new knitter, I was in need of a good set at a cheap price (in case I give up, I didn't want to sink too much into equipment); the needles are beautifully brushed and give a smooth but not too slippery stitching experience, the accessories meet all the basic needs for any stitcher, a small set of steel crochet hooks was included... Very nice!...circulars do come in only one cable length but the full array of needle sizes to coordinate w/ the double pointed needle set

I have been crocheting for years but I finally taught myself to knit last year. I had a total of two sets of regular aluminum needles that came with a kit that have been floating around my house and a full set of shorter circular needles that I had bought then was having trouble finding a good place to store them with out them getting all tangled up. I saw this and loved the idea of this pouch to store them in. I got it and I was so happy I got it! I have decided that I prefer circular needles to regular so this set has every needle I'll need. I haven't tried the double pointed ones yet but plan on making socks so I'll need them at some point. I really love this set.

I ordered this set a couple years ago, but got more involved with crochet, since i wasn't very good at knitting. Lately however, I've gotten back into knitting again and picked up this set to see how it did. the circular needles are nice and smooth, good joins, no snags in the cables. the crochet hooks it comes with are not labeled in mm or any other recognizable size I'm familiar with. I have plenty of small crochet hooks tho, since i prefer the ergonomic style handles, so that's not an issue. the scissors are cheap and don't cut well, but again, I have others. overall, if you want a good all-round set to fill in any gaps you might have in sizes, it's a decent set. the sizes are UK, so finding conversions was necessary.
