This stuff is AWESOME!

I wasn't sure this would work but figured it would be worth a try before wasting all that time and effort on that countertop paint, knowing that would take days instead of hours! Not to mention the skill it would take to make my own marble design!
But it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!
THIS STUFF IS AWESOME!
Just follow the directions, prep, use a heat gun (or blow dryer), make sure you have a couple extra people to help, and figure out the plan BEFORE you start!
Also, for the comments about having to use a staple gun under the ledge, if you use the heat you won't have to!
I've used my dishwasher and even with that steam escaping I've had no problems!
The ONLY thing I can say I'd do different is, let the heat melt down the edge, don't push it down, because it will stretch easy and can put in a tight wrinkle.
If you look at the pic with the storage tins, you can see where that happened.
The tear is where my husband thought we should put a slice where the actual countertop has a gap in it, but I stopped him, and it hasn't torn anymore since!
Again, FAR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!!!!

Heavyweight, glossy and definite marble pattern. I work with wallpaper for years and this is similar.
I did not spray water before peeling off backing I felt that would create more bubbles. Need to remove backing very slowly smoothing out as you go. Still had some areas where bubbles popped up next day but a hairdryer on
Low and gentle nudging with tool flattened them out. I gave the entire surface a once over with hair dryer to make sure contact was uniform with surface.
I have used the stainless on my refrigerator and dishwasher and people cannot believe it's peel and stick. Durable now for 4 years. Excellent product. Thinking of covering my kitchen granite.

Worth it for a relatively cheap upgrade

This stuff looks gorgeous when it is installed. Cheaper than new counter tops and way faster than any paint or epoxy kit.
However it is crazy hard to install especially on long counter tops. You definitely need two people to help. If you bend it or have to struggle to unroll it it will easily get damaged with tiny wrinkles and imperfections that cannot be smoothed out.
Also if you make a mistake it is nearly impossible to fix without redoing the entire piece. My cabinet curves up against the wall and that presented another challenge.
With all that being said it took my boring 80s builder grade cabinets up so many notches and does not look like contact paper. It looks so good!!!
You will just need a ton of patience.

Easier than I thought

Ok so this was much easier to install than I expected. Reviews made it seem extremely complicated and I was legit worried. But...I have extremely expensive taste on a poor man's budget. I first painted my counters with a special paint I saw on tik tok and sealed it with some epoxy which looked amazing right...ya for a short time. It absorbed everything causing stains and yellowing all over. I needed to cover this quickly and on a budget because I'm a clean freak and it looked gross. I found this measured out everything and ordered. Cleaned and prepped the surface and started to install. It's thicker than normal wall paper and the bubbles were so easy to get out. I got creases once in a while and I used the card that's included and a blow dryer, heated up the crease and pushed it out. Our counters are made of partical board so on the bottom (underneath) for extra hold we used a staple gun. We wanted the rolled affect so that over time from leaning on the counters it doesn't peel up. For the sink we removed all caulking and rolled it so water couldn't get under the paper then we put the sink back down added caulking and done. All edges we called to insure no liquids could get under the paper and make it rise. That's it. It took my husband and I about 3 hours. The hardest part was the edges. When the paper is stretched it can rip easily at the edges so take your time. Make sure you have a sharp box knife!
EzFaux Countertop experience
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•July 17, 2023
I am writing this review of my personal experience I purchased this EZFaux countertop adhesive as part of my kitchen renovation. I debated endlessly between other kits (Rustoleum, Giani, Leggari, etc.) There were 4 major factors I weighed: appearance, application, durability, and of course COST. I originally tried the sponge technique on practice scrap board and quickly realized the end result highly depends on the skill of the painter - I am no professional, and durabilty depends on topcoat but countertop takes a beating - it WILL CHIP. So I came across EzFaux when I was picking up cabinet door knobs/pulls on Amazon and researched videos on YouTube. This kit instantly ranked high on my factors.
I ordered on Amazon at night and got free shipping, but received the kit through USPS in 4 days and had a tracking number the next day. Which is great. Upon receiving the gold kit I noticed after 10 ft. there was a blemish. I took a picture and used Amazon to report the problem. For good measure I called the customer service number provided on the product instructions one hour after my Amazon report to ensure they had received it. I talked to Trish and she IMMEDIATELY let me know they got the email w/pictures and were going to ship another product free of charge (no shipping cost as well). I told her after seeing it with my personal setup I favored the white marble kit over the gold. The shipping manager overheard our conversation and I could hear them through the phone putting the product in the box for shipping...with only an hour notice!!! They made it clear that customer satisfaction and quality was their top priority. I was extremely impressed and satisfied that I had to write this review.
For application I would recommend watching videos, following the instructions, and if you are doing a long run of countertop like me (anything over 8ft.) you have two people to apply (so much easier). I had a small section of countertop not connected due to the range that is where you start first to get used to laying it down - very easy. Cut your lengths with 6 inch extra to trim down, spray the prepped countertop with water AND adhesive side so you can make adjustments and product doesn't stick to itself through the process. Do corners and edges last after flat sections have had water scraped out from under and are done. *Tip* EZFaux provided me with a scraper which was great for the small areas, but a cheap $2 Paint guide 12" worked amazingly well for the long surfaces and got all the water and bubbles out. I removed the sink to make it easier (10 minutes). The whole process from start to finish took 1.5 hours. I am extremely happy with the look, ease of application, cost/value, and customer service. Would recommend to anybody, and will purchase products again in the future. Thank you from a very happy customer.
