Great Stroller/Car Seat
Callaway70✓ Verified PurchaseMarch 29, 2018
We love out Citimini set. It is a very easy stroller to fold and unfold and is very easy to maneuver. The carseat seems very comfortable to our baby and is very easy to put into the stroller and into the base for the car.
Great product set

Great product set. Car seat fits easily and securely into the base. Stroller wheels roll smoothly and lock securely. The adapter for mounting the car seat on the stroller can be improved to make it easier to fit and lock the car seat in place. After four months of use, I still have difficulty fitting the car seat on the stroller right at the first attempt. It often takes a few tries each time, which can be a source of frustration.
Great travel system

We've had it for 6 weeks and meanwhile are loving it. I've used only as a travel system so far since my baby is still a newborn, and it's been great. We don't have a car and have taken uber/taxis when needed, and the car seat feels stable when buckled in the car even without the base. The baby seems very comfortable in it. The stroller is also great, it navigates really well on the snowy streets of Boston. It folds super easily and it's relatively easy to adapt the car seat to the stroller and take it out.
My only complaints are the weight (but I guess all regular strollers - not umbrella - are relatively heavy) and that, when folded, the stroller doesn't stand, which makes it inconvenient to store at home.
In any case, I really like it so far, also compared to other strollers I've tried in stores. I will update the review once I've used it for longer.
Easy to assemble and great maneuverability!

I bought this in the option black despite another reviewer saying not to because I might receive it in grey instead, which really wouldn't have mattered to me considering I saved so much on it! But, the stroller and car seat both arrived in the right color! It took me 10 minutes or less to assemble the stroller and add the car seat adapters, such an easy stroller system and the maneuverability is top knotch! My little one won't be here for a while, but I'm confident this stroller and car seat combo will be a smooth and comfortable ride for him. The car seat has thick durable padding and is light as can be! Super happy with my purchase and I definitely recommend!
City Mini GT vs. City Mini vs. City Select Lux

There are currently two listings for the 2016 City Mini GT Travel System on Amazon. Get the other one, if you're after black! We ordered from this option, in Black, and received it in Grey, and Amazon wouldn't do anything to correct the issue (it had to do with black not being in stock at the exact time we asked for it, but could have been easily remedied). Order from the other option, and you won't have to worry about getting it in a different color by accident! Good luck! With that out of the way, we really like the City Mini GT. We were stuck between the City Mini, City Mini GT, and City Select Lux (one of our car trunks is too small for the regular City Select, so we had to skip that one). We ultimately decided on this one for our first, because we live in a walk-up, and the extra weight from the Lux didn't seem worth it for the two or so years that we plan on having just one child. There is a 9-lb difference between the GT and the City Select Lux, which means a lot when you're carrying a diaper bag, infant carrier WITH child, and stroller, up two or three flights of stairs. The Lux also folds bulkier, and our stairways are really narrow. The three-wheel turning radius on this is a dream compared to the City Select (Lux or regular), and it pushes really easily. Also, Baby Joggers hold their resale value extremely well, so we're planning on selling this one used, once the time comes, and purchasing a convertible for our future kids to share. With that said, I LOVED the Lux, and am still getting over the fact that we didn't end up going with that one (: If you plan on having more kids pretty quickly, I would recommend the City Select or City Select Lux over this one IF you live in a house with a garage, or on the first floor of an apartment building (or in an apartment building with an elevator!). Make sure you measure your car trunk, if applicable, to make sure that the larger stroller will fit.

We chose the City Mini GT over the regular City Mini because I'm a pretty avid power walker (such a mom thing to say), and this is the only non-jogging stroller from Baby Jogger that is officially approved for power walking. The City Mini is not approved for anything but regular mall and sidewalk use, so I didn't want to find myself out of warranty if I damaged the regular City Mini from everyday activities. I feel like it's pretty obvious, but I see people saying that you can use all Baby Joggers to jog all the time, so just so everyone knows, the Summit is the ONLY stroller from Baby Jogger that is actually approved for jogging. You will definitely ruin your wheels and suspension if you try to jog with any of the others (I've seen it! Not pretty.). If you're someone who just wants the stroller for walking around your neighborhood and in the supermarket, and you don't care about the slightly better "ride" of the GT, the City Mini will definitely save you some money.

In summary, pros and cons of the GT vs. City Select Lux vs. City Mini....

City Mini GT:
- Rides the best of the three, like a dream
- Great turning, like the City Mini
- Slightly larger fold than the City Mini
- All-terrain tires (not true of the other two)
- Best durability of the three (Lux second seat looked like it was going to get damaged when you left it on and folded)
- Suitable for power walking, uneven terrain (cobblestones, historic roads), etc.
- Holds up to 65 lbs.

City Select Lux
- Nicest seat fabrics
- Convertible - can seat one or two children, and is compatible with the seat board (only compatible with the Lux) and the ride-along board (also compatible with other Baby Jogger strollers)
- Both seats fold up, and the whole stroller can fold with seats attached (not true of the regular City Select)
- 30% smaller fold than the regular City Select, making folded size more comparable (it's still bigger) to the City Mini or GT
- Holds up to 45 lbs. per seat

City Mini:
- Cheapest, most budget-friendly
- Lightest (if you live on, say, a four-floor walk-up, this would be the one). About 3 lbs. lighter than the GT, and 12 lbs. lighter than the Lux.
- Smallest fold, by a bit
- Not the most durable wheels
- Holds up to 50 lbs.
- Tight turning (in a good way!)

Hope this helps someone! We did a ton of research and it was exhausting, so I wanted to give other people like us a run down!
