I would have given this 5 stars but there is one thing they didn't mention that is very important. These are NOT waterproof. I left my bike out one afternoon and it rained lightly for a short period. That evening I went to ride my bike and the front light would not work. It is NOT waterproof. When I took it inside it started working oddly and I assume that is due to it being wet. This is a vey nice light and I would have thought since it is rechargeable it would have been waterproof. After allowing it to dry for a few days it started working properly. DO NOT LEAVE IT OUTSIDE!!

Lightweight, perfect commuter bike lights

Haven't tested for long-term durability, but much lighter and far brighter than my current battery-operated headlight which has 4 LEDs, while this has just one. Strobe mode is better than I thought- in street-lit darkness you can still see very well, and cars notice you more. The low mode is good enough to see for pitch black darkness. Tail lamp has no clip but seems ok on my backpack with the included strap. We'll see if it ever disconnects and falls off. It's intended for a bike frame, not a backpack, though I prefer the latter. Can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Strobe, fast strobe modes are great. Also has regular lit modes but as a bike commuter I find strobes make me feel safer on the road at night.
Perfect for commuters- usb rechargeable, lasts long on a charge (unless your commute is longer than 5 hours!!), very lightweight and unnoticeable if you keep in your backpack or messenger bag all day.

Being noticed is one of the most important things to think about when riding a bike. Now with cooler weather coming it is also getting dark earlier and so I know my son in law is riding bike or my daughter would be whichever one did not have the vehicle. I figured this would be something that would allow me to feel safer about them being on the bike and it is a really easy and nice set to have. I do like that you have a light in the front but can also be seen from the back with the light on there. This is easy to put on and really allows people to see you instead of it becoming dangerous.

I purchased three sets of these for each of our bikes. Too often, we forgot to turn off the brake lights on our bikes and the batteries would run out. I would have to go to the store, purchase new watch sized batteries, and replace them. NOT ANYMORE! These USB rechargeable bike lights are bright and ensure that we're seen if we're caught riding around town after dark. The brake lights are easy to install. I struggled a bit with the screw when installing the headlight, but figured it out by the third light. When it's time to recharge the lights, they easily break away from the mounts. Each set comes with a USB charging cord. Once charged, they clip right back on. Easy peasy.

These bike lights are great! I bicycle around a college campus so I was looking for lights that would really be bright enough to see from inside a tinted car, and I've been using these for almost a year. Both the front and the back light are very bright. Someone told me the back red light looked like a car brake light. The description said something about the back being 180 degrees of visibility, but it's not really. The light bulbs are only in the flat side of the light, not on the angled sides around it although they do glow. But if anyone's looking at you from the side, they'll see your front light. The front light is also very bright. I can see probably about 6+ car lengths in front of me. The battery life is impressive as well. I didn't charge any more frequently than once a month. The mounting bracket for the front light is sturdy and has held up very well. One thing I can't figure out is how to make the back light blink. I followed the directions in the manual, but I always end up accidentally turning it off. All in all, these are great bicycle lights and well worth the cost.
