I bought this for my mothers elderly dog. She is very pleased with the way it functions.

I'm kind of neutral about this. It's well made no problem there. I have a 14 year old Border Collie I have to help up and down my 4 steps. One good thing, that wasn't evident when I bought it, are the adjustable handles. I really like that feature. But it's a bit difficult to wrap around the dog and fasten so the handle is on top. The little pad that comes with it, and is supposed to hold the 2 handles together, is to small and worthless. I'm not using daily now. I find it easier to wrap my hands around her, behind her front legs, on the way down. And use 1 arm behind her front legs and under her rear for going up. I may need it more when she and I are a bit older.

This helped distribute her weight perfectly and helped me help her walk again, by carrying the weight her legs couldn't carry anymore.

My beloved pup had advanced Cushings and was quickly losing her ability to walk. Over 3 months I tried to use scarves, towels, etc. to help take the pressure off of her legs. I was so exhausted from carrying her around for 3 months I couldn't pick one from all of the others. This arrived about a week before we finally had to pts and I had lots of regret that we didn't have th this sooner.

Using this lift she tried to run through the yard again. If you're looking for a lift, act now. :)

The Petbaba mobility harness is affordable and helpful. Keep in mind though that it does tend to get bunched up and folded over around your dog's lower abdomen and the straps get jammed or tangled occasionally. If you have a dog that cannot use it's hind legs this is a great method of providing exercise and therapy however it may not be very convenient for waste removal. You might spend over an hour trying to get your pet to "do their business" with this sling becoming more and more uncomfortable for them as time progresses. If it works, then I truly am happy for you and your furry friend, but if you are having issues with getting your pet to expel waste while using any of the various mobility devices out there, including this one, then I would like to recommend a more hands on approach. Literally.

While being as patient and encouraging as possible, set your dog on it's front paws. Move so that you are standing directly behind your pet and transition your hands so that they are converging on and cupping it's belly from both sides. Interlock your figures. Lift them up gently, just high enough so that the toes of their hind paws could touch the ground. Stay firmly planted and do not allow your dog to attempt to walk (they could fall over, or worse yet injure themselves further from your resistance), then calmly coach and urge them to relieve themselves in the manner necessary. When done correctly, they will go almost immediately or likely in under a minute. Disregard how goofy and awkward this position might look from a distance. Keep serious. Don't let your pet see you get frustrated or depressed. Don't get discouraged and do not beg or bargain. Stay positive. Also, always remember to play with them or show attention as if nothing has changed (but still be mindful of their new limitations).

You might think you have a close pre-existing bond with your pet, but under the traumatic circumstances of injuries or diseases resulting in paralysis you will need to develop trust with your pet on an entirely new level. They were dependant on you before for sustenance, shelter and companionship, but being reliant on you for their very movement itself is a definite game-changer. It will take time and cooperation for both of you to adapt to the situation. I wish you the best of luck during this difficult ordeal. Please don't give up. Your pet is counting on you...

We ordered this harness to help our 110 pound dog who has severe weakness in his hips and rear legs. The harness works well on level surfaces and we hoped this product would help us help him ascend and descend the stairs as well. OK going down as it stays were needed near his hips;not so helpful going up, as the harness slides up his chest.
