2 1/2 stars Not as pictured. Works well for a child's bedroom not an adults.

Let me start by saying it is beautiful for my daughter's room. But the colors are much brighter and not as deep as the picture shows. Especially the purple, it's a bright purple not a deep purple. If it were for an adult's bedroom I would be disappointed. It does not have that sheen that the picture shows either. It is a much cheaper fabric. It does not look rich like in the picture. Yet for a little girl's room it works.
Another problem is the tiny tiny little corner strings used to hold the inside comforter in place. It moves around constantly and gets bunched up. I've tried different things to try to help this, but it always seems to be a mess. It is frustrating.

Definitely doesn't look as mature as the picture. It's a cheaper fabric and weak zipper but I don't mind that. What I mind is that it looks like a is a child with a unicorn bedroom theme's bedding

I loved this when I first got it. It was a little difficult getting the cover on the insert correctly, but once that was done, it looked great.
I initially rated the duvet cover 5-stars. I have reduced the rating down to three, because upon the 3rd washing (front load, cold, gentle) the zipper broke and there was some fading. It was always a bit difficult getting the insert put in correctly (a problem I have not encountered with other duvet covers).
If this were made with buttons instead of the zipper, I might have been able to use it longer than the couple of months that it lasted.
Were this duvet cover to last longer (and if the matching sheets didn't fade so very quickly), I would really love it. As it is, it's great only for the short term (perhaps guest cover?), and the price is higher than the value.

definitely does NOT look like the picture! it instead looks rather cheap - or for a 'younger/child's room' looking print, kind of cartoonish in the design, rather than having the royal shade of colors dominate, as they do in the picture. Disappointing.

So what I love about this set is the colors. It comes exactly as pictured. Now the reason I gave four starts is because of the feel of the duvet. It has a small scratchy feeling however the pillow cases are not the same feel. The pillow covers are softer so that is a plus. I said a little scratchy, now that does not mean that it is unbearable. I think with a few more washes it will be a lot softer. I have a king size bed and it hangs off the sides a few inches and fits nicely at the feet of the bed. If you are wanting it to hang off the bed as pictured, then the king size duvet with king size bed will not work for you. It's not to heavy and it does have the ties at each corner, it has a zipper close which is another thing I like. I had a duvet with buttons and they would always pop off. It's easy to put your comforter inside and because of the strings the comforter doesn't move. I wish I could give this a 4.5, I love how vibrant the duvet and pillow cases were. It's just the feel of the duvet itself that I wish had a little more softness to it. Like I said though after a few washes i really think it will be up to par.
