My daughter just turned 7 and is a little petite, weighs 42 pounds.

Below is a description of how this fit her. I will first say the material is really soft for a costume and the coloring and print of it is really pretty 😻

Does not look like some of the felt type costumes that are faded before you even spend $30 on it.

The threading on it is loose in a couple areas (which is in my pictures), however, I don't see that being too much of a problem, especially in the first few wears... and again, I have to compare to other costumes that are not good quality and possibly more money.

After reading reviews I figured it would be a little big on my daughter, considering her sizing is tricky and the "one size" for 4-6X - It is considerably bigger on her than I expected, though.

We decided to take a chance, though, since she really wanted to be Moana and this looked like the best choice. So honestly, I can't really complain about the sizing but thought I would list our sizing experience for possible reference.

For skirt size she usually wears little girls 4 (she can usually fit into 5T skirts well).

For tops- she wears little girls 6 (4-5 fit her best except that they are a tad short)

So usually it's tricky getting 2 piece outfits because the bottoms are usually a bit bigger on her than the top.

This one is opposite- the skirt is loose on her but with shorts under it- I can pin it well enough to make it work.

The top is super big on her. It is much looser at the top of the top.

Loose the the point it shows her chest and the shape of it is awkward to where we can't pin it without it looking weird.

If they had bandeau bra that fit her that would make it work much better.

We are keeping for her wear at home for dress-up and she is still deciding if she will wear one of her old costumes for Halloween or this one with the tank top ðŸ˜

This was bought for my 3yr old that is 34lbs and 37inches tall. Her waist is 21inches around her belly.

This is definitely more on the 6x sizing. However, there are quick fixes that can be done to make sure this can fit your child.

Buy iron on or stick on Velcro for fabric and add it to the back to make it tighter on your child. I added some ribbon embellishment on the clear straps because I thought it looked nice and helped it stay on her. Also I cinched in the sides on the skirt to fit her. I had to then sew part of it to the side so the cinched in part didn't stick out.

This comes down to my 3yr olds ankles with her being 37inches. So it does make it hard for her to actively play in it, however she doesn't seem to mind.

This is a good costume in my opinion as it has NO GLITTER!! Also there is some dimension to the skirt with the sash and the little grass skirt pieces.

Fits a little big, but she doesn't seem to care. I'm going to adjust it a little since I sew. It's really cute though. Her little brother has a Maui outfit and they love wearing them while watching the movie.

This costume is pretty cheaply made. My daughter has had it for one day and I will need to re-surge the top as all the thread is coming out. I gave it the three stars because she still loves it but if you have the opportunity to buy one that will hold up to more than 6 hours of play I recommend investing in that one instead.

Great great outfit. It's a bit big for my three year old but I just pinned it in back and she couldn't be happier.
