this was great and did the job, i used it to pre soak cotton before I tie-dyed it. Make sure you mix it into warm water, otherwise it clumps together and you have to start over.

Soda ash is the same as advertised laundry soda - Sodium carbonate. Laundry soda is much more expensive and you get less product by weight because of added materials to prevent clumping alondg with a certain amount of moisture. The soda ash is perfectly dry with nothing added. Much better value!

Hot tub chemicals are expensive. I found that using soda ash is safe to use in the hot tub to keep your water PH and Alkalinity at the right level.
I use two tablespoons in a 400 gal hot tub. It doesn't take much. There is no smell and the water feels great. I'm saving a huge amount using this product instead of PH up and Alk up.
