Every gadget fixer and DIY-er should have something like this on hand. It's a rather specialized toolkit, a nice addition to your assortment of pliers and other tools.

UPDATE, A MONTH LATER:
The longer I have this kit, the more useful it gets. The screwdriver bit collection by itself is worth the price. The prying tools have become indispensible - no more screwdriver gouges from trying to pry open things, and no more banged-up fingernails. The reverse tweezers (squeeze to loosen, unsqueeze to grip) are immensely handy. And, back to the screwdriver bits, the screwdriver handle itself is very well designed. It's ergonomic, it allows you to keep pressure on the fastener at all times, it's got good manufacturing tolerances, and the extender is actually a useful accessory rather than an annoyance.

The very first thing I used this on was to try and tear down an old iphone 5S and the #000 Phillips Screw driver tip wouldn't work. Had a friend try to get the screws off with a generic china made precision screwdriver set and he was able to do it with no issues. Well, I guess they never said this was a precision screw driver set. Upon closer inspection of the screwdriver tips, the quality isn't that good. I returned it.

The tools required to work on different devices seems to keep changing. Some of the new tools can be a real challenge to find. If that wasnt bad enough, the quality of some of the tools that can be found leaves a lot to be desired. If the size of some of the screws you have to work with isnt bad enough, keeping track of them and getting them all back in place can really make you tear your hair out. Even though I have a job in I.T., I do double duty as my family's repair person for all things technology related. This toolkit was well worth the price. The quality of tools hasn't disappointed me yet. The design of this was really thought out. No using any hinges or snaps to hold things together was the right thing to do. Using the inside of the lid as a screw/parts sorter was one of those things that you dont know that you need until you need it. Beats using the top of an egg carton to keep the parts straight.

This item is good enough to be included in a book of tech tools. I tried to attach a video review but Amazon wouldnt allow it to be posted.

I bought this because the the very first tool that came with a 3rd party display replacement kit did not work at all. Overall I ended up spending the same I would if I had gone to the Apple Store, but I am happy that going forward I can repair pretty much everything.

I have wanted this set for 5 years and I am kind of happy that I was given a reason to purchase it, even if the reason was a negative one. The package is very clean, the storage for the tools is so much better than I was expecting and all the tools work as well as iFixit's reputation for great tools and guides. Its a very clean, flexible and high quality setup. Everything I was hoping from iFixit as this is my first time buying any of their products.

Yes you can buy tools that would cost a whole lot less than this setup, but you risk the issue I ended up getting which was a literally useless tool that could not open the phone whatsoever (almost everyone can unscrew a screw, its not rocket science) because I wanted to save money. You also will not have a complete set that can tackle any situation meaning you'll have to continue to piece your toolset together and if you're sticking to affordable tools then the hit or miss problem continues.

I completely recommend this product.

Kit seems decent, the little thick black handled thing with small metal blade had someones fingerprints on it, but thats ok... i guess.
(Updated ) friction fited extension. I put in an email to their support to find this out. Disregard the below statement. :)
The 64 bit driver kit seems decent, but so confused. The flexible extension for the driver is not magnetic. ... the driver is , but not the extension, which makes is almost impossible to use it since the bits fall right out. Kind of sucks considering the price of it all.
