Middle joint loosens itself with road vibrations
Purchaser•August 7, 2017
The middle joint is a single screw and washer (which is too thin/ soft) which loosens itself over time, causing the light to wobble. If you don't notice in time and fix it by re-tightening it through the handlebar side, the two halves will separate. Another complaint I have is that the nut for the handlebar side does not stay in the clamp when it is opened completely, making it really easy to lose.
I have yet to find a perfect mount...
jetames•August 3, 2017
This mount looks quite substantial but sadly, it's not built strongly enough to support anything but very small flashlights. I prefer to use a larger, brighter, 3 cell Fiet flash light that strobes (used day and night) and this mount simply does not cut it. I bought three of these mounts and two have already broken, the 3rd one is still in it factory package. I have yet to find a perfect flashlight bike mount...but I am still looking.
Low longevity.

It broke after very few rides, and I'm not exactly a hardcore mountain biker.

Works great! I use it to hold a small pirate telescope on my tripod.
