I originally ordered a medium since my waist is 34" however, the sizes run a bit smaller. Have had it only one day and what I do is split and lift logs for a splitter machine. So far it is working but we'll see at the end of a two week period. When I ordered the medium it came with a neat velvet type carry bag. (update)I have been using it while I do manual labor. I am a strong 73 yo that has not slowed down and this brace now has me going longer. This has been the best made brace I have used and is constructed well and as far as the straps are concerned they all are well made, not discomfort and have even used it on my bare skin when it is so stinking hot. Now that I wear it about 8 hours I'm going to figure out how to put a piece of cloth, maybe linen or something to keep it from rubbing my skin, but then again I'm doing labor intensive work. Would I but again, yup, sure would.
